Prior to leaving for San Francisco I have been working like crazy on Moneypenny during the day and then during the evenings I switch gears to build my new quiver of SpeedBoards and new sets of Foils at night time. Last year I subbed out the building of the boards to Hydroflex but this year I wanted to have more control over the timing of the board build as well as how the boards were built. After discussing with a number of friends and industry partners as well as seeing who was available for all night board building projects I decided to have Tom King and Patrick Gavin Brynes come work with me. They are both young guys with plenty of energy and both have the skills to get the job done. So far we have completed the two Asymmetric boards and one new set of Foil Wings but still have the two Symmetric boards to go. The majority of this will be left up to Tom and Patrick as I am in San Francisco watching the end of the America's Cup and getting ready for the Big Boat Series onboard Vesper.
One of the big developments in the last few days is the addition of Jamestown Distributors and TotalBoat Epoxy to the Dancing Turtle Team as the materials supplier. There will be some more info about this coming out soon but I can't thank them enough for helping us get the right materials to build the fastest boards. Mike Mills and his team have been outstanding.
That's it from San Fran for now, time to hit the water for some practice.
